DeFa facilitates the registration and booking of telc German language examinations through its online platform.

4. Examination Eligibility

6. Accuracy of Candidate Information

  • First and last names must match the candidate’s passport or accepted identification document.
  • Date and place of birth must be accurate.
  • Passport numbers and uploaded documents must be valid.
  • The correct examination level, module, date, and centre must be selected.
  • Email addresses and contact numbers must be active and accessible.

Candidates are responsible for reviewing all information before submitting their booking.

Incorrect information may result in delays, examination admission issues, or registration cancellation.

DeFa will not be responsible for consequences directly resulting from inaccurate information provided by the candidate, except to the extent required by applicable law.

7. Examination Levels and Modules

The Website may offer various telc German language examination levels, including A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1, subject to availability.

Depending on the examination, available registration options may include:

  • Full Module: Registration for the complete examination.
  • Oral Only: Registration for the oral examination component.
  • Written Only: Registration for the written examination component.

Not all levels or modules will be available at every examination centre or on every date.

Candidates must verify that their selected examination and module meet their intended academic, professional, or immigration requirements.

DeFa does not guarantee that a particular examination or certificate will satisfy the requirements of any university, employer, immigration authority, or other institution.

8. Examination Fees and Payments

Examination fees are displayed on the Website during the booking process.

Candidates must pay the applicable fee to complete their registration.

Payments may be accepted through authorised payment methods or third-party payment gateway providers.

Candidates acknowledge that:

  • Examination fees may vary depending on the examination level and module.
  • Payment must be completed using an authorised payment method.
  • Booking confirmation is subject to successful payment verification.
  • Additional bank or payment processing charges may apply where disclosed.
  • Fees may be revised for future bookings without affecting already confirmed bookings, except where legally permitted.

If payment is deducted but confirmation is not received, candidates should contact DeFa before attempting another payment.

9. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Once an examination booking is confirmed, the examination fee is non-refundable for candidate-initiated cancellations, except where required by applicable law.

This includes cancellation due to personal reasons, inability to attend, travel changes, illness, or incorrect examination selection.

Refunds for duplicate payments, failed transactions, or examinations cancelled by DeFa will be addressed in accordance with the applicable policy and law.

Candidates are strongly advised to review all booking details before completing payment.

10. Rescheduling and Examination Changes

Confirmed examination bookings are generally not transferable or reschedulable at the candidate’s request.

Requests for changes to examination dates, centres, levels, or modules may be considered only where permitted by the applicable examination rules and administrative arrangements.

Approval is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

DeFa may reschedule, relocate, or cancel an examination due to operational requirements, regulatory restrictions, safety concerns, insufficient registrations, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Affected candidates will be informed through their registered contact details, and available remedies will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.

11. Examination Attendance and Identification

Candidates must report to the assigned examination centre at the specified reporting time.

Candidates are required to:

  • Carry valid original identification documents as instructed.
  • Present booking confirmation when requested.
  • Follow examination centre entry and verification procedures.
  • Comply with examination regulations and invigilator instructions.
  • Arrive sufficiently early to complete admission formalities.

Late arrival may result in refusal of admission in accordance with examination regulations.

Failure to attend the examination or produce the required identification documents will not ordinarily qualify for a refund.

12. Examination Conduct and Malpractice

  • That a candidate will pass an examination.
  • A particular score, grade, or result.
  • Issuance of a certificate before an officially confirmed date.
  • Acceptance of a certificate by any particular third-party institution.

Result publication and certificate processing timelines may vary.

Candidates will be informed of result and certificate collection or delivery arrangements when available.

Requests relating to result reviews, appeals, or examination complaints will be handled in accordance with the relevant examination regulations.

14. Examination Centre Rules

Candidates must comply with the policies and operational instructions of their assigned examination centre.

Examination centres may implement additional reasonable requirements relating to identification, security, prohibited items, reporting times, and examination conduct.

Candidates are responsible for arranging their own transportation, accommodation, and other personal expenses associated with attending an examination, unless otherwise expressly agreed.

15. Website Availability and Technical Issues

DeFa makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information and reliable Website functionality.

However, uninterrupted access to the Website cannot be guaranteed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or remedies for deficient services.

19. Force Majeure

DeFa will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, public emergencies, government restrictions, strikes, civil disturbances, or significant infrastructure failures.

Where such circumstances affect an examination, DeFa will make reasonable efforts to communicate available alternatives and address affected bookings in accordance with applicable law.

20. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

DeFa may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in examination procedures, Website functionality, operational requirements, or applicable law.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that candidates have under applicable law.

21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute arising from the use of the Website or examination booking services will be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts and authorities in accordance with applicable Indian law.

Nothing in this clause limits a candidate’s statutory right to seek relief before an appropriate consumer forum or other competent authority.
